Now if you have not been with the company for 2 years, there are 3 situations in which you have the right get a work permit . 1. If the new job falls under the 1st, 2nd or 3rd category of professions (as defined by DNRD) with a salary of not less than 12,000 AED , 7,000 AED and 5,000 AED for the three classes respectively. 2. The contract is terminated because of the employer’s violation of legal and labor obligations towards you, or if you have no role in terminating the work relationship. 3. If you have been transferred to another company the employer owns or you have shares in. But if you are on a limited contract and if you did not finish the agreed term as per contract, the company has the right to impose a one-year ban which cannot be lifted at all. Hope it helps!!
