Dhows are the traditional Arab vessels for sailing, in which the heavy goods used to be transported from / to different countries. Ajman is famous for being the largest dhow building center in the world. Here these unique sailing boats are still manufactured using traditional tools, manual skills and techniques and passed down through generations. Unlike the modern days it is done without blueprints. The speedsters for the Dubai Powerboat meets are also manufactured in the Dhow Yard in Ajman.
